Getting Started
How It Works:
01 BOOK A FREE 20-MINUTE CONSULTATION
We will start with a twenty-minute phone consultation, where we will talk about what is going on in your life and how I can help. It will give you a chance to get a sense of my personality and what it will be like talking to me. This time is focused on determining whether we are the right fit and answering your questions. At the end of the consultation, we will work together to decide if scheduling an assessment is a good next step. Click the "request appointment" button below. You will be able to review my availability and schedule a time for a New Client Consultation appointment.
02 CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT & APPOINTMENT
Huberty Counseling offers teletherapy via SimplePractice. It’s easy to use, secure platform—think of it as Zoom for therapists with HIPAA compliant software.

Make it stand out
Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
What to Expect in the first few Sessions:
Choosing the right therapist can be a daunting process, I get it! Usually, during the first couple of sessions, we will talk about your history and review the intake forms you completed before the first appointment. Taking the time to get to really, truly know and understand you helps me better understand your situation. It helps us both identify the specific goals you want to address in your sessions. It helps us understand the “why” behind your struggles. We want to look at what is and is not working for you right now - and this will inform us as to what we need to work on going forward.
